Supply Drops allow you to receive and unlock new items based on the amount of time you have played. This is great for customising to your own player style or game mode. The more Supply Drops you get the more chance you have of getting something great, so we wanted to find out how to earn them more frequently.
It’s claimed that Supply Drops are earned from the amount of time played. The video above from YouTuber TmarTn shows an interesting theory that being killed first in a match during a gunfight (first blood) could trigger supply drops more often. This could be just because the supply drops are triggered when you die rather than actually earning them. The actual mechanics of earning them are not totally clear as many players seem to earn them more frequently than others.
HOW TO EARN SUPPLY DROPS:
1) Play the Campaign and reach certain objectives (this actually just gives you Campaign related gear that shows up in your New Items, not a Supply Drop)
2) Play Exo Survival and unlock different tiers (this gives you Zombie-themed items, not a Supply Drop just like Campaign)
3) Play Multiplayer and earn Drops > “based on the amount of time you have played”. That’s directly from their page.
Update (Some new info from Michael Condrey):
@cnnrbrks We roll your “time to loot” in-match mins for each drop. Drop happens on player action, like K or D. Rapid Supply mins count 2x.
